James Midik - Jackin House Vol. 2
We met James Midik on the ableton dj forums (www.abletonlivedj.com) and we were instantly impressed by his impeccable track selection and smooth as silk mixing skills. Besides mixing James also makes some damn sweet remixes/edits, we especially like the MJ – Billy Jean Chop & Drop Edit track. You can download other DJ Mixes and edits on his website www.jamesmidik.com.
Our only concern is, well, when does Jackin Vol. 3 come out because 1 and 2 are SLAMMIN!
Bio:
A lover of both the soul of Chciago house music and the grit of Detroit techno James Midik is an active DJ in the South East Region of the United States. Listening to back log mixes by greats like Kevin Saunderson and Derrick May from Detroit, to Frankie Knuckles in Chicago really pulled James into the desire to not only listen to this music he had a strange fascination with but also to preform it. Now, years later, James is doing just that playing the South East Region of the USA. A beat-matcher turned Ableton geek, James is now employing live elements into his once A to B DJ sets including live remixes, and live re-edits mangled with DJ sets that give nods to the grit of Detroit techno and the soul of Chicago house music.
